About to phone your husband.
You had a silly fight last night
and want to let it go before calling
him to make plans for tonight.
Try this kundalini meditation,
said to eliminate inner conflict
and balance the mind.
how-to: Find a quiet spot where
you can sit comfortably with a
straight back and crossed legs. If
that’s not possible, you can sit in
a chair with feet flat on the floor.
Ommmm
7 a.m.
Alarm goes off. Before you even get
out of bed, try a meditation from the
kundalini yoga practice to start the day
off right.
how-to: “Sit up in bed and rest the four
fingers of your right hand on your left
wrist where your pulse is. On each beat
of the pulse, mentally vibrate the sounds
“sat nam” (“truth is in me”) for between
three and 11 minutes.”
10 a.m.
You’re giving a big presentation to your
boss and have to be in dazzling form.
how-to: “Your pinky finger tips have
sensitive nerve endings that palmistry
experts believe are linked to the language
part of your brain. Simply rub them
with your thumb tips in gentle, circular
motions to enhance your communication
skills.” The great thing about this
unusual meditation is that it can be done
discreetly under a boardroom table.

“Place your hands in Venus lock
(interlaced fingers) and place your
palms against your solar plexus,
just below your chest. Close your
eyes. Chant the mantra: “Humee
Hum Brahm Hum” (“We are we,
we are one”) for three to 11 minutes
depending on how much time you
have. To finish, inhale deeply, hold
the breath and assess yourself.
Exhale and repeat two more times.”
Now call your husband. Residual
bad feelings will have faded away. ➤
